Rachana Infotech have developed a newspaper management software which is based on Linux platform. The entire software works on an Intranet concept where each department logs on to their website and do their transactions. The database is centralized on a server and all the users log on to the server using client machines. The server also acts as a proxy server for Internet, Mail server so that all users can now communicate using internal e-mails. The server also has a ftp site which allows users to log on to the server to download most common applications centrally located. There is also a provision for a remote user to log to the server from a remote location and use the software after proper validation.
